Dr. Amy Miller-Longson, DVM
Owner and Veterinarian
Dr. Amy is the owner of Riverview Veterinary Clinic. Growing up in central Alberta, she was always drawn to sick, injured and orphaned animals, and for as long as she can remember she’s wanted to be a veterinarian.
She was accepted into the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997 and graduated in 2001. Her career began at Spruce Grove Veterinary Clinic where she spent almost 8 years. In 2008 she moved her practice to Riverview Vet Clinic. Although Dr. Amy is a general practitioner, she has a special interest in surgery, canine reproduction, and dogs with behavioral challenges.
In her spare time, Dr. Amy enjoys spending time outside with her horses and dogs, obedience training and competition, camping, and watching Oilers hockey! She also recently realized a knack for crafting and enjoys sewing, crochet, painting, macramé and repurposing old furniture.
Dr. Amy has been married to her husband Sam since 2007 and has two amazing stepdaughters, Chloe and Adrienne. Although she has adopted many animals over the years, Dr. Amy is currently happy to be owned by a Belgian Malinois named Guru, a Dutch Shepherd named Zuri, and a Chinese Crested named Tearah, a Tabby cat named Eli, and 2 horses Hank and Harry.
