Dr. Amy Miller-Longson, DVM
Owner and Veterinarian

Dr. Amy is the owner of Riverview Veterinary Clinic. Growing up in central Alberta, she was always drawn to sick, injured and orphaned animals, and for as long as she can remember she’s wanted to be a veterinarian.
​
She was accepted into the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997 and graduated in 2001. Her career began at Spruce Grove Veterinary Clinic where she spent almost 8 years. In 2008 she moved her practice to Riverview Vet Clinic. Although Dr. Amy is a general practitioner, she has a special interest in surgery, canine reproduction, and dogs with behavioral challenges.

Dr. Amy has been married to her husband Sam since 2007 and
has two amazing stepdaughters, Chloe and Adrienne.

Outside of her veterinary work, Dr. Amy enjoys painting, sketching, crochet and baking. She also trials her dogs in obedience competitions, earning a novice title with her Chinese crested Tearah, and CD title with her Dutch Shepherd Zuri, and her late Belgian shepherd Guru. Dr. Amy is an avid horsewoman, and she spends as much time as possible riding her horse Harry and competing in Reined Cowhorse events.
