Mykie Saito
Office/Administrative Assistant

Mykie Saito was born and raised in Parkland County alongside her two siblings. She has been part of the dog industry for over a decade, beginning her career in a boarding kennel and training facility before joining the RVC team in late 2017. Starting out as kennel staff, she worked her way through several roles before finding her place as Dr. Amy’s assistant and inventory manager.

Animals and veterinary medicine have long been a part of Mykie’s family. Her late grandfather, Dr. Roy Saito, was a veterinarian in the Leduc area before working at the Edmonton Valley Zoo, and his love for animals was passed down through the generations to Mykie. Over the years, she has raised chickens, bottle-fed puppies, and developed a deep passion for animal care.

During her time at RVC, Mykie has gained extensive experience working with fearful dogs, helping them build confidence through socialization and exposure. She finds it incredibly rewarding to earn the trust of nervous dogs and watch them flourish alongside their owners.

Outside of work, Mykie enjoys camping, reading, and spending time with her two dogs—Ambush, a Belgian Malinois, and Aine, a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon.
